O Christmas Tree, O Finally a Christmas Tree!

This is a big deal for us because in our 7.5 years of marriage this is our first Christmas tree! Since we go out of town for the holidays, John, being the thrifty soul that he is, believes that Christmas decorations are a waste of money. We both don't enjoy much kitsch or clutter so it's gone on this way for years. But being snowed in and sitting on the couch is so much nicer with a tree and lights to make things a little cozier. So, on our way into the grocery store I picked out a lovely faux tree and found a bunch of inexpensive ornaments at Target. Hey, no pride here! Fake all the way! It also means no burned down house or pine needle shedding while we're away!

My favorites are the food ornaments.

John likes the Tim Burton-esque Voodoo dolls that I picked up at a fabric store (oh that terrible day!) which are actually Halloween decorations. If you've slighted John this year, and feel a slight pain in any part of your body, you'll know why.

My sister Michelle might be only person to get this one. I was trying to recreate a picture in a weird cat book we had as children.

I love the picture of you two! At least the fabric store yielded something cool. :)
