September 11th Memorial at Sandy City

Last Sunday, John and I visited the special September 11th Memorial that is put up each year in Sandy. My friend Camille had mentioned taking her family as part of a boy scout project and we thought it would be a fitting way for us to commemorate the day. The field in front of the Sandy City offices is covered with flags which each represent at life that was lost on 9/11. Tied to each flag is a name and short life story about the person. It was a very touching experience and helped make the event more personal for both of us.

What a neat memorial. I love the little facts about each person and your outfit.

that is a really cool idea! we were going to go to the memorial at the pentagon but we forgot they had their own ceremony for the families who lost people there. then everyone was scared there was going to be another attack on dc so we ended up not going anywhere...
