Summer People

Remember when we were summer people?  Our skin was tan and our bodies strong.  We ate J-Dawgs and had picnics under a blue sky.  We slid down rock water slides into snow melt pools.  We hiked and sweated up flower filled mountains.  Pot guts scurried at our feet. Remember when I didn't have to wear tights or boots or shoes in general?  We drove with our windows down and let the air stream in and the music stream out.  We frolicked in golden wheat fields and caught butterflies in gauzy nets.  At night we roasted foil dinners and marshmallows over camp fires and let the stars and moon light our path.  Remember when we didn't cringe at the thought of a cold popsicle touching our teeth?  We let the fruity juices run down our fingers and drip onto the steaming concrete.  Oh how I miss our summer selves.

That is the one thing I am not missing about Utah, long winters. Thank you Sun Belt State!

Today we are in shorts with the AC chugging away.
