The Beehive State

Some things that make Utah summers wonderful:

  1. Fruit stands and trucks - offering fresh, local, farm grown honeydew, cherries, and watermelon.
  2. Wheat fields - they're lovely to drive by when they're green or golden
  3. Lots of sun and tolerable heat - that is dry heat vs. humid heat
  4. Wild flowers in bloom
  5. Air conditioning everywhere - at least where we live
  6. Forrest areas nearby with ice cold snow melt streams and rivers
  7. Festivals - kind of like in Europe. Cities in Utah have their own little festivals + other celebration days (Scottish Days, Strawberry Days, etc.)

*Picture from last summer's photo class. That was the first time I shot a digital SLR. Cherries from Santaquin.
