Papillon

Before leaving Denver we visited the butterfly pavilion with John's family. It was so nice to have a change of environment from white, cold, snow covered hills to lush greenery, humid air, and lots of lepidoptera. I am usually ready for spring as soon as Christmas is over and I would even be fine to skip the new year celebrations. Bring on the seersucker and linen!

The geeky biology part of me loved this place for the scientific names and natural history facts Memories from entomology class came flooding back. I also think my mind was prepared for this day-outing from watching several Planet Earth episodes with Branden and Amanda. I didn't steal any butterflies to pin into my collection, but it was tempting.
