Mother I love you

A short tribute to our mothers

Nancy Naomi Mori (Nishimoto)
My mother was born in Lahaina, Hawaii. During high school she worked in the pineapple canning factory. She left her home to attend college in Wisconsen (of all places!) and there was baptized a member of the LDS church. She then transferred to BYU and met my father through the university's Japanese club. My mom worked hard as a stay at home mom to raise 5 kids. One thing she tried hard to teach us was a love of books and reading. She always read to us and many of our days were spent at the library. Thank you mom, I love you! - Melinda

Mary LeSueur(Ridge)
My mother was born in Provo, Utah. She was homecoming queen of Provo High, and in college was quite active on the dating scene. Dad had to compete with his roommate for her attentions. Once they had married, and Dad had graduated, they moved to Orange County, California. Mom adapted very well to California. She was always very involved in our schools and spent a lot of time driving us to our various activities. She always made sure that we had the opportunities to grow, make friends, and learn new things. It's amazing, the ways she got what she wanted for us from the Los Angeles Unified School District. For those of you acquainted with it, you're already impressed. For the rest, you should be. I love you Mom! - John
